At the end of each trial lesson you will: know your learning style and what type of learning tools would be best for you.

For beginners and intermediate levels, the first half of trial classes will be spent playing interactive games that will gauge your language level as well as getting to know you! 

For more advanced students, we will have games/exercises that will allow us to exchange information on various topics

The second half will be spent determining your learning style by doing a fun quiz together!

Learn how to speak more confidently and get rid of crutch words (um, uh, like, so, mmmm) to be articulate. 

Learn how to sound more natural in English, focusing on word choice during speech, tone and pronunciation. 

We will focus on intonation and sentence structure through role-playing various scenarios. We will also explore various topics, for example a conversation about life in South Africa versus the student's country!

This course is perfect for those who are looking to have casual classes that are focused on improving speech. 

These lessons are also suitable for those who may be travelling to English speaking countries and would like to be exposed to various accents and how English is used around the world. If you would like to become more expressive in English, this is the course for you.

Fluency and Accuracy Lessons

These lessons are customized to each student but will cover the the four basic skills of language learning. 

The customization will be determined by your learning style, which we will determine during our trial lesson.

Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing lessons

Children aged between 13 and 17 can get lessons tailored to their interests and passions. A laid-back approach to get teenagers talking in English. Special arrangements can be made to study certain English novels in Young Adult genre such as: Hunger Games, Twilight or any books on request

To get this certificate I received guidance and was tested on: 1. Lesson planning.

2. Classroom management.

3. Teaching grammar and vocabulary.

4. Developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

5. Assessing and testing students. 

I completed written assignments and quizzes. I can plan and deliver effective lessons for both adults and children (using TPR for kids)

TEFL training specifically for young learners

This is the essential 120 hour TEFL certificate which qualifies me to teach on italki

Attached is a recommendation letter after completing my Honours degree detailing what I studied. There was no other attachment option for it elsewhere.

My degree focused on English literature and Law.

The role involved marking essays and facilitating tutorials as well as helping students with general  essay writing; particularly how to formulate arguments and how to gather information to support arguments.

I therefore have experience with improving writing skills which is a key component of learning English.

I was responsible for Conducting English lessons to children between the age of 4-12 through webcam. I would also submit progress reports and plan additional lesson material as well adjust material for each student's level.

I am therefore familiar with working with children and have experience using TPR.
