Hi I am Efkan your Turkish teacher.
I am happy to tell you about my lessons.
The structure of my lessons differ depending on my students' needs. But on every each of them we, my student and I, focus on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency.
Of course, a lesson with a beginner and a lesson with an advanced student will differ in a  teacher-student speech length. The more confident students get the more I encourage them to talk in Turkish.
I always ask my students what their purposes in learning are and what they want to learn in particular.

Usually I start lessons with a small conversation to make students comfortable and get them used to the language before diving into grammar. After explaining grammar we do a lot of interactive excercises together, playing games trying to remember both grammar and vocabulary.
Some days we can focuse more on conversation or grammar, nevertheless I try to get all the other activities involved in each lesson.
Depending on students interests/needs we choose topics to talk about, so the students would not get bored.

Every now and then I check with a student on their goals in language learning and what they want me to add to our lessons.

My aim in the lessons is to provide you a comfortable environment where you can get confidence to speak.

Bu sertifikayı almak için 60 saat teorik ve pratik derslere girdim. İlk olarak teorik sınavı geçtim ve daha sonra da gözetmen öğretmenler eşliğinde uygulama sınavını başarı ile tamamladım. 100 puan üzerin 82 alarak kursu başarıyla tamamladım. Bu kursun sonunda Türkçeyi yabancılara profesyonel bir şekilde öğretme hakkı kazandım.

I studied Turkish Language and Literature at the best university in Turkey. At the same time, I was interested in other Turkish dialects and studied for a semester in Kazakhstan with an exchange program. I can define myself as a Turkologist.
