In our trial class I want to get to know you, I want to know why you are improving your English, what your goals are, and where you think the biggest challenges are when communicating in English.

This way we can build a plan of how we can work together to help you achieve your goals with the English language.

Conversation classes are a really natural and easy way to improve your confidence, fluency, grammar, and vocabulary. We do all of this in context, focussing on the grammar mistakes that you make most often and looking at new vocabulary that you will actually use! Conversation based calls/classes are great if :

👉  You want to improve your English conversation skills, for work or anything else.
👉  Your English is at a high level but you still want to improve.
👉  You're getting ready to work or live in an English speaking place.
👉  You used to speak a lot of English and now you just want to maintain your English level.
👉  You've been studying English for a while but you're not sure how to improve or what you should study next!

📌 These classes work best when we agree a topic or subject before class that you would like to discuss. This way I can bring materials and resources to class that can help you get the most out of our time. If you don't have anything in particular that you would like to discuss then I am happy to suggest a topic for us. 

Materials can include almost anything! However, I most often use:

📎 Videos (I keep a list of YouTube channels with great videos to build classes around).

📎 Articles (Articles from anywhere are great, and I keep a list of great article websites to get use started).

📎 My own conversation class documents, (I'll introduce you to all of the materials I've created during our first call).

📝 At the end of our call I will always send you the notes that I have made, including any corrections, recommendations, and new vocabulary. 📝

BUSINESS ENGLISH - Improve the way you communicate at work

I really enjoy job interviews. In the past I've interviewed people for jobs on HIGH PERFORMING, business-to-business, sales teams. Now I want to pass on the knowledge I have of how interviewers think and the best way to communicate your skills in a job interview.

📌 We'll think about the 2 MOST COMMON follow up questions to make sure that you're ready for any thing your interview brings.

📌 We'll talk about what to say when you don't know what to say. How to build longer, high quality answers, and what your interviewer REALLY wants to hear.

JOB INTERVIEW preparation - Learn the theory and skills to get the job

Preparing for the IELTS test can be a really big challenge, but working with an experienced, professional English tutor can make it a lot easier!

📌 I can help you find the mistakes you make most often and explain how to correct them in a relaxed and helpful way that helps you to learn. At the end of each class you will leave with all of the notes I've made for you including corrections, examples, suggestions, and new resources.

This certification is given for demonstrating the advanced knowledge, skills, and competencies needed
to implement and integrate Google for Education tools. This is the higher, level 2 certification.

This course included 5 days classroom tuition.

TEFL, 10-hr Teaching Large Classes and 10-hr Telephone Teaching Courses

30-hour Teaching Business English course. Covering:
1. Theory and practice of teaching Business English
2. Needs analysis and course design
3. Effective lesson planning and preparation of Business English classes
4. Developing Business English materials (Authentic and published materials)
5. Understanding communication skills required by Business English Students.

Worked between three different schools through the week, designing, planning, and delivering in person English lessons. Over 3 years I worked with over 600 students.

Here I installed and maintained IT systems for lecture theatres and large events. This included working with visiting lecturers, politicians, and British royalty.

Provided AV and IT support for lecture theatres and large events, including working with industry leading companies in the aviation industry.

IT support and training for lecture theatres and teaching spaces.

In this role I hired and managed a high performing business-to-business sales team. I was instrumental in changing the way training, targeting, delegation, and day-to-day management worked within the team, along with changing how success was recognised and celebrated. Within six months I lead this previously failing department to recognition as one of the top ranked in the region for most KPIs, including sales volume, profit and new account acquisition.

Hired and managed a head office based business-to-business sales team. Working in a highly targeted and KPI driven environment.

Since I left public school teaching in 2022 I've been a full time Business English Coach and Tutor on iTalki. I help international English speakers, like you, to communicate better at work.
