In this lesson we discuss the student's goals and motivations for learning English. We discuss student's expectations from their teacher, and what areas they need most assistance with so we can pick the appropriate course for the student. We will also have a short speaking practice lesson.

This lesson focuses mainly on practicing English speaking. This is for students who may have the grammatical knowledge but feel not so confident when speaking English in public or with native speakers. The lesson focuses on practicing pronunciation and discussing interesting topics in order to practice fluency, and boost your confidence in your speaking skills.

Conversational Practice

This lesson is an introduction to English language. It covers a lot of new vocabulary and grammar as the students who take these lessons are newly exposed to the English language. These lessons are facilitated with a lot of patience and repetition as learning a new language can be difficult.

English for Beginners (Teens and Adults)

This lesson covers grammar topics essential for mastering the English language. These lessons will help to ensure that you understand the language rules so you can present yourself and speak in a grammatically correct way. Students can also make requests for specific grammar topics to be taught/revised/discussed. Lessons for beginners to advanced level students.

The lessons also involve working on reading, writing, and/or listening skills. The choice on whether to involve lessons focusing specifically on these language skills will depend on the student's needs and preferences.

Grammar/Reading/Writing/Listening Lesson (Teens and Adults)

This was a 180 hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language course. This course equipped me with all that I need to know on how to plan an English language lesson, and how to adapt the lesson to different age groups (young children, teenagers, and adults) and different language levels (beginner - proficient). To cater to all types of students, no matter their age or their level of knowledge of the English language.

Taught an English (TEFL - General English) group lesson for adults. This group comprised international students looking to improve their general English skills for communication, educational as well as employment purposes.
