天天到田边去看。
hái měi tiān dōu yònɡ yì bǎ chǐ zi qù liánɡ， 
还每天都用一把尺子去量，
kàn kan hé miáo zhǎnɡ ɡāo le duō shǎo。 
看看禾苗长高了多少。
kě shì，jǐ tiān ɡuò qù le， 
可是，几天过去了，
hé miáo hǎo xiànɡ yì diǎnr yě méi yǒu zhǎnɡ ɡāo。 
禾苗好像一点儿也没有长高。
