Listening Practice

This is for my students to improve their reading and listening skills

Daily Journal in Korean(한국어 일기)

1. 매일 청소하기 때문에 방이 깨끗해요
2. 다섯 시에 일어나기 때문에 피곤해요.
3. 눈 때문에 길이 정말 미끄러워요.
4. 화장실이 더럽기 때문에 청소했어요.
5. 친구 때문에 짜증나요.

[Translation]
1. Because I clean (a room) everyday, the room is clean. 매일 청소하기 때문에 방이 깨끗해요
2. Because I wake up at 5 o'clock, I'm tired. 다섯 시에 일어나기 때문에 피곤해요.
3. Because of snow, the road is very slippery. 눈 때문에 길이 정말 미끄러워요.
4. Because the bathroom was dirty, I cleaned it. 화장실이 더럽기 때문에 청소했어요.
5. Because of the friend, I'm annoyed. 친구 때문에 짜증나요.

1. 이 빵은 맛있는데 조금 작아요.
2. 한국어는 어려운데 정말 재미있어요.
3. 제 친구는 많이 먹는데, 날씬해요.
4. 저는 많이 자는데 피곤해요.
5. 수업을 들었는데, 잘 모르겠어요.


[Translation]
1.This bread is tasty but a little bit small. 이 빵은 맛있는데 조금 작아요.
2. Korean is hard but very fun. 한국어는 어려운데 정말 재미있어요.
3. My friend eats a lot, but is slim. 제 친구는 많이 먹는데, 날씬해요.
4. I sleep a lot, but tired. 저는 많이 자는데 피곤해요.
5. I took a class but I don’t understand. 수업을 들었는데, 잘 모르겠어요.


[4] V는데, A은/ㄴ데: however

1. 떡볶이가 맵지만 맛있어요. 
2. 피곤하지만 운동하고 싶어요 
3. 이 가방은 작지만 비싸요. 
4. 슬프지만 안 울었어요 
5. 많이 공부했지만 모르겠어요. 

[Translation] 
1. tteokbokki is spicy but tasty. 
2. I’m tired but I want to work out.  
3. This bag is small but expensive.  
4. I was sad but I didn’t cry.  
5. I studied a lot, but (still) I don’t understand.
