「あえて」について勉強しましょう！

今日は辞書（じしょ）に書いていない意味「チャレンジで」を
あえて！いっしょに勉強しましょう！



【あえて】〈副詞(ふくし)〉
意味：自分の考え・自分の考えたこと（理由・目的・ねらい）があって

こんな風に使います･･･
❶自分の考えがあって
例「君のために　言いにくいことを　あえて言おう」
意味：言いにくいことは言いたくない。でも、自分の考えがあって（⇒君のために）言おう。

❷チャレンジで（変だと思われるかもしれないけど）：辞書（じしょ）には書いていない使い方。とても楽しい表現（ひょうげん）！

①ホリタ「あえて健康（けんこう）のために、風邪を引こうと思って」　　⇒★練習１★
②ヨッシー「ここはあえて海に？泳ぎに？でも行っちゃいましょうか」　⇒★練習２★



★練習１★「（　　　）ために　あえて～」を使って言ってみましょう。
①〈仕事の話をしている〉
A：課長のパワハラすごいんでしょ？大丈夫？
B：大丈夫、大丈夫。【変だと思われるかもしれないけど、私が考えた理由があって】（　　　　）ために怒られているんだよ。

②〈宝くじの話をしている〉
A：オンラインでも宝くじって買えるんじゃなかった？２時間も並んで買う必要ある？
B：まあ、そうなんだけど。【変だと思われるかもしれないけど、私が考えた理由があって】（　　　　）ために並んでいるんだよ。

目的「～ために」以外でも、理由を言ってから「あえて」を使うのもいい！
③〈Bさん（日本語を勉強している人）が、むずかしい日本語の本を読んでいる〉
A：そんなにむずかしい本を読んでいるんですか。日本語の小説なら、もっとかんたんに読める本があるんじゃないですか。
B：（　　　　　　）ので（私が考えた理由があって）、【変だと思われるかもしれないけど】、この本を選（えら）びました。



★練習２★　どれを選（えら）ぶか悩（なや）んでいる友だちが何かを言います。その友だちに冗談（じょうだん）の「チャレンジ」をすすめましょう。
①〈スーパーで買い物をしています〉
A：え～っと･･･、どっちがおいしいのかなぁ。ねぇ、どっちのパンにしようか？
B：じゃあ、ここは【　チャレンジで　】小麦粉（こむぎこ）から作るのはどう？

②〈ハンバーガー屋で〉
A：ダブルチーズバーガーかフィッシュバーガーか、どっちにしようかな。
B：じゃあ、ここは【　チャレンジ　】でダブルチーズフィッシュバーガーだね！
A：そんなのメニューにない！

第３０課　あえて 2/2

「台風 たいふう」＝「typhoon」のように、母国語（ぼこくご mother tongue) と にている言葉は覚えやすいですね。じゃあ、そうでないものは、どうやって覚えるか。今回は、ほとんど「ダジャレ pun, play on words 」です。実は  1974年に「日本語の起源（きげん origin ）は英語だ！」という意見を、本気で発表した人がいます。ん～、ほんとに困ってしまうんですが、きっとこの人は、「ラッキーな言葉」をたくさん発見しちゃったんですね。それでは、日本人が英語を覚える苦労を、せひ、お聞きください。そして笑ってください。

第29話　台風は「タイフーン」？
