こんにちは。今日は7月5日金曜日です。「5分でわかる日本語」ポッドキャストへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は、英語の「glass」を日本語でどう言うかについてお話しします。

まず、「グラス」について説明します。「グラス」は、飲み物を入れるコップのことです。たとえば、「ジュースをグラスで飲む」という文があります。この場合、「グラス」はジュースを飲むためのものです。グラスは割れやすいので、気をつけて使いましょう。

次に、「ガラス」について説明します。「ガラス」は、材料の一つです。窓やコップ、鏡などに使われるものです。たとえば、「窓ガラスをきれいにする」という文があります。この場合、「ガラス」は窓の部分のことです。

だから、もう一度「グラス」の説明をします。「グラス」はガラスで作られたコップということです。

この二つの言葉は、英語だと両方とも「glass」です。英語だと一つの言葉ですが、日本語だと二つになります。意味が違いますね。この二つの言葉を使って、もっと例文を見てみましょう。

	1.「ジュースをグラスに入れる」
	2.「ガラスのコップを落として割ってしまった」
	3.「窓ガラスが割れてしまった」
	4.「友達と一緒にグラスでビールを飲む」

「グラス」と「ガラス」の違い、わかりましたか？日本語には、おもしろくて変なカタカナがたくさんあります。覚えるのは大変だと思いますが、これらの違いを覚えると、もっと自然な日本語が使えるようになりますね。

ここで、皆さんに問題です。「グラス」と「ガラス」の違いは何ですか？
	1.「グラス」は飲み物を入れるコップで、「ガラス」は材料のこと
	2.「グラス」は材料のことで、「ガラス」は飲み物を入れるコップのこと
	3.「グラス」と「ガラス」は同じ意味
正解は1.「グラスは飲み物を入れるコップで、ガラスは材料のこと」です。

Workplace anxiety is a growing concern for businesses and organizations of all sizes. It refers to the feelings of worry, fear, and unease that employees may experience in their professional environments.
