Regular practice on platforms like language exchange apps can help.

2. Expand Vocabulary: Limited vocabulary often holds back Band 5 speakers. Aim to learn 5-10 new words daily, focusing on synonyms and expressions you can apply to multiple topics, such as work, travel, or family. Create mind maps on topics that frequently come up in IELTS, like "environment" or "technology," and practice speaking on each one.

3. Improve Pronunciation: Pronunciation errors are common at Band 5. Focus on getting each sound right, as well as on stress and intonation, to sound more natural. Listen to native speakers through podcasts or videos, and practice mimicking their tone and rhythm. Recording and replaying your responses is also helpful.

Master Grammar: A Band 7 requires control over complex sentence structures. Practice combining ideas into longer sentences using connectors like “although,” “since,” and “despite.” Working with a tutor or using grammar apps can help you understand and apply complex grammar structures correctly.

Car Vocabulary: 
Windshield- the glass at the front of the car
Windshield wipers- rubber pieces that move back and forth to remove water or snow off the windshield
Fluid: a liquid
Coolant: a fluid that cools something down, used in cars
Oil change: removing old oil and putting clean oil in a car
Rearview mirror: a mirror in the back of a car, shows the area behind car
Trunk lid: The trunk is the storage area at the back of the car. The lid is the cover.
Headlight: the light at the front of the car
Blinkers: lights that flash on and off as a signal to let others know when your car will make a turn

はい、こんにちは。今回は、ポッドキャストのシーズン２の３回目です。今月の終わりから大学の授業が始まります。今日はレッスンがなかったので、下見に行きました。「下見」とは、行き方や場所の様子を調べるために実際に行くことです。

Hello. This is episode 3 of season 2 of my podcast. My university lessons start at the end of this month. I didn't have any lessons today, so I went for a Sitami. 'Shitami’ (Preview) means actually going to the location beforehand to find out how to get there and what the place looks like.

大学は京都にあるので、大阪から電車で１時間半ぐらいです。大学に行くまでに大阪駅と京都駅を通ります。大阪駅と京都駅はいつも人がいっぱいで、とても疲れます。今年の10月から日本に観光客が入れるようになったので、外国人もたくさんいました。京都にはヨーロッパ系の観光客が多いですが、最近は東南アジア系の観光客も増えている気がします。「〜系」は人種を表します。たとえば、国籍がブラジルで親が日本人の人を日系ブラジル人といいます。大学は駅からバスで10分ぐらいでした。山の近くにあってとても静かでした。

The university is located in Kyoto, which is about an hour and a half by train from Osaka. I pass through Osaka and Kyoto stations on my way to the university. Osaka and Kyoto stations are always full of people, and walking through them is always tiring. Since October this year, tourists have been allowed into Japan, so there were many foreigners. There are many European Kei tourists in Kyoto, but recently I feel that there are more and more South-East Asian Kei tourists. ‘-Kei (-descent)' denotes ethnicity. For example, people whose nationality is Brazilian and whose parents are Japanese are called Nikkei Brazilians. (The "ni" in nikkei is the first character of Japan). The university was about 10 minutes by bus from the station. It was very quiet near the mountains.

Como tal, se puede señalar que el surgimiento de  Tenochtitlan comenzó con el proceso de la migración de los aztecas chichimecas, quienes recibían ese nombre por habitar la tierra de Aztlán, en donde adoraban a Huitzilopochtli, deidad que los guiaría hacia un nuevo lugar. Los aztecas no eran la única tribu chichimeca que emprendería este proceso de migración pues como refiere Hernando de Alvarado Tezozómoc, existían siete barrios, cada uno identificado por una deidad.

El proceso de migración tomó varios años antes de alcanzar la Cuenca de México, pasando por diversos lugares y asentamientos en donde se fueron estableciendo al ser pueblos que conocían y practicaban la agricultura, no obstante, también eran personas dedicadas a la guerra, pues tal como refiere Tezozómoc en el mito de Malinalxóchitl, al momento en que los aztecas abandonaron a Malinalxóchitl lo hicieron por la voluntad de Huitzilopochtli que tenía como encargo traer armas, arco, flechas y rodelas, al ser su principal oficio la guerra.
