“Strangers come to me.”
Why?
• “Strangers” is a plural noun (more than one person).
• In the present simple tense, verbs do not take an -s with plural subjects.
• The base form of the verb (come) is used with I, you, we, they, and plural nouns.
Compare:
✔ Strangers come to me. (Plural subject → no -s on the verb)
✔ A stranger comes to me. (Singular subject → verb takes -s)
