This graph shows the evolution of the GDP in the last decade. After the crisis of the stock market in 2015 and 2016, the economy is doing well. But between 2020 and 2022 the GDP started to decline. Because of the pandemic, some shops remained open for a limited amount of time. Also, the Japanese society faces the problem of its aging population. Birth rates declined year after year. To raise birth rates, the government helped childcare facilities. These measures were named Abenomics but the expected results haven't appeared yet.
