TOAO
Today is the last day of the Vietnamese national holiday. Just like my other days off, I spent most of my time sleeping. I started the day with a light breakfast that my mom bought for me: a traditional cake called Banh Day Gio—made with two slices of sticky rice cake and a thick slice of Vietnamese pork sausage. I usually wake up late on my days off, so Banh Day Gio is a good choice because I don't want to be too full before lunch. For lunch today, my mom made one of my favorites: beef stew. It was served with both bread and noodles, but I chose bread. Unfortunately, the beef wasn’t stewed long enough; it was so chewy that my brother and I had a hard time eating it, so we didn’t eat much. After a good nap, I watched some episodes of a show until dinner time. Unlike lunch, dinner was actually good, and I ate a lot this time. Nothing is better than a great meal to end the day, right?
