hello there! I've just found out that in the British English a jump rope is a skipping rope, but I was wondering what the verb for it is? I mean, you can jump rope, it makes sense, but do you skip rope or do skipping rope or use skipping rope, how do you say it?)

It's just called skipping. Skipping can also be a way of moving between a walk and a run but context makes it clear what is meant.
