Let's catch a flick - this is a suggestion to go and watch a movie. This drive up the coast has been the best of both worlds - I would need the context and more of the paragraph to explain the exact meaning of this, however, the expression 'the best of both worlds' means that whatever you are talking about is giving you two things that you can enjoy at the same time, usually things that are opposites rather than just one amazing thing. Let me clarify. Some people love to live in California because it has mountains as well as beaches, it has 'the best of both worlds' you can surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon. Surf and Turf restaurants in the US give you the best of both worlds - lobster from the sea and steak from the land. As you can see, you get 2 great things and don't have to choose only one!
