We ( I mean our people) can not eat any meal without bread. A bread is life in our country. If there is not a bread at home, it must be bought necesarily. Some people eat half of bread during eating:) Everyone everyday asks from one another: is there a bread at home or not? Always our people say people from other countries( especially in Europe) eat a little bread.
What about you? What about your people? Do you like to eat much bread?
Ha haa:) That's a nice topic to discuss @Leyla:)
It is nice to know how much importance people give to bread in your country!!:) So bread is the main base food in your country.Isn't it?
But in my country, the two main base foods are Rice and Roti(made from flour, generally round in shape) but dishes are many. But it again depends on from north to south:) in the northern part, people love to eat Roti but in the southern part it is Rice:):) So my country is a very diverse country in term of food, language, religion and so on..:)
Hope to hear from others:)
In Northeast of China here, people live with rice ,and noodles, bread or other flour mixed foods more appear at breakfast. It depends on individual habit. But many friends coming from western countries ,they feel weird at why there are various fruits, beans, or other ingredients inside. That means if you don't know Chinese , you could not know what it is except have a taste. Bread is general name, but these words including roll, baguette, loaf, bap always can always replace in different cases of English. In Chinese language, we call them xx (ingredients) bread instead for all.
In China,we barely eat bread for meals traditonally.
In the north part of China people prefer to have noodles for meals. However, people from southern China love rice.
And I'm from the midland.I usually have soup and steamed ban for breakfast and dinner, and noodles or rice for lunch.
Oh,and dumplings as well!
I only eat bread when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to have meals.
