Tencent - mindless or anti-foreigner?

For many years I used QQ & QT.

Some time ago, I received a message when trying to log into QQ. It told me my account was frozen.

QQ/tencent does not seem capable of answering any question in English.

They simply say a new version will be out soon. :( Totally ignoring the question.

So I tried to register a new account. Such a mindless solution to an easy problem.

I have the latest QQ international.

Registration nowadays requires a cellphone SMS message.

When I recently got one that I decided to use, it says "invalid mobile number".

I guess it is set up solely for China.

So, I have had for some time, no way to chat on QQ or QT.

Seems QQ Tencent have no interest in foreign native English speakers.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Seems I have to say this discussion is for learning something :(

Sorry if I mislead anyone.

Wechat - you MUST be joking.

Wechat insists on making changes to my phone without asking.

I've tried Wechat a couple of times & each time it was uninstalled within a day. No idea why you put up with suich misbehaviour in an app. :)

Tencent doesn't emphasize foreign market, especially with QQ. It's designed mainly for Chinese. but you can use Wechat, Tencent wants Wechat more popular globally, I think you can use it more convenient than QQ.

Yes, that is very true that QQ application is actually a very local product chiefly designed for users in China only and the producer does not  care  if they have enough number of foreign users (non-Chinese users) since they believe they can grow up without overseas users. Furthermore, some officials might need to screen certain sensitive words, slogans or users by special stalking technique which is not allowed by many foreign governments.  Please remember the telecommunication is basically mandated by the local government and that is the best tool to peek something that interests the government.
