I spent my holiday in the Philippines in August for 8-9 days, i went to Cebu and Manila. I enjoyed pretty much when I was there.
Ppl there thought i was Korean, so they said hello in Korean to me and gave friendly smiles. It was really funny. Most of them can speak english very well, so i didnt have much problem communicating with local ppl when i talked to them and tried to get to know more about them and their cultures.
I enjoyed Cebu a lot cuz it has so many small beautiful islands, the water was so clean and its color looks amazing, I saw many blue sea starts which I had seen any thing like that before. What I liked the most about Cebu was that the whole thing reminded me of a small country side which is very natural, has no buildings and ppl there are very friendly.
Manila gave me a mixed feeling. I felt like it is mixed between old culture and new culture as it does have old city and new city too... I went to some bars there, listened to ppl playing music and had some cups of beers, pretty much enjoyed there ~ but I am more about nature things than big cities with many ppl and buildings ^^
I heard that there are some other islands which are more beautiful than Cebu, so i hope i will visit there soon.
You are lucky that u come from such a beautiful country like that.
