Hi all,
I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but, can anyone recommend movies and tv shows available online in Arabic? Or at least with Arabic subtitles available.
I have watched everything I can find on Netflix (Canada/Netherlands).
I'm trying to learn Levantine dialect but I will watch any kind of Arabic stuff.
I've watched some Roya Comedy shows (some of them are so fast and use so much slang that I can't always keep up) and I really like dramas.
I loved this show: http://www.shankaboot.com/ and I highly recommend it.
Thanks for your help!
Sylvie
There used to be a Syrian serial that aired on Syrian tv back in 1990 called كان يا مكان (once upon a time)
Each episode is about a different story. The story itself is narrated in Standard Arabic, but the circumstances that led the narrator to narrate that particular story are in levantine Arabic:

There are also some kids bedtime stories dubbed into Arabic with English subtitles, like البطة القبيحة (The ugly duckling):

To help you understand the story better, you may do some English or even Arabic googling into the story, which is a famous one
If you like comedy shows I recommend for you spot light (بقعة ضوء)
It is the best one to improve your levantine dialect , It is a Syrian TV show
Each episode has different story and it is really nice
And there is maraya (مرايا) the same as spot light
hope this help :)

the serie Omar is in Fus'ha! Sylvie says that she wants to learn Levantine Arabic.
This is a funny documentary in Palestinian dialect with French subtitles. The journalist asks people to tell them a "nuota"
