What difference between "expand" "extend" and "widen". Can anybody help me, please?

Expand: refers to size e.g. expand your living room.

Extend: refers to time. E.g. I can extend your stay at the hotel further.

Widen refers to size however only left to right and not length. E.g. can you widen my pants by adding fabric.

Probably the main difference between these words in using them in a particular cases. For example if we want to say "Her eyes was widened of terror" the word "expand" would be inapropriate. P.S. Don't judge me for my English)))
