As I'm a new tutor, I was wondering, what do you personally value in a teacher and what do you usually look for?

I usually look for teachers who are friendly, confident in exposing, and who make the class flow in a natural way. I'm basically a beginner, I've learned a lot of what I know in English by myself, and I'd be grateful for your help.

To my way of thinking, it all depend on the level of the student and primary goals :) I strongly belive that the most important aspect of lerning language is communication with another person. However we can't forget about the grammar aspects, they are also important but it is not the core and the essence of languages :) Consequently, what i generally value in teacher is his\her ablility to communicate with fluency alnd also capability for catching my grammar mistakes in speaking :D And ... of course patience :D

But these are my needs and my goals and as I wrote above everything concerning discussing subject should be tailored to indywidual needs and primary goals of the person :D So, flexibility of a teacher is also incredible valuable attribute :)
