Arasp
Why do you think Persian (Farsi) is an important language? Before I let you know about my own opinion I want you to tell me what you think about it.

Persian would be perhaps helpful for me if I go to Westwood blvd in LA cause there is a large number of Iranian people there and lots of Persian restaurants and shops.

Arasp, sorry, I misread your question. I read it as "why do you think that ..." (why do you consider Persian important).
But of course, your question is right, it is just me who read it in a wrong way:)

Actually I only meant to compliment your langauge with my first comment. But I think today I'm just as confusing with hat I write as I am confused with what I read.

Persian is important because it is in the top category of Indo-Iranian languages which includes many many other languages. You know, Indo-European Family of Languages is the biggest family of Languages in the world with hundreds of languages inside it. One category goes to Europe. Most of the European languages now have a Latin root because they are from the European category of Indo-European family of Languages, the other category comes to Iran-Afghanistan-Tajikistan-Pakistan-India and they are called "Indo-Iranian" languages.
So Indian and Iranian languages are very important.
