One podcast which I like is Radio Ambulante. ( http://radioambulante.org/)  Although it was not designed to teach Spanish, what I think makes it appropriate for native English speakers who are early in the process of learning Spanish is that on their website they include not only the podcast but the transcript of the podcast and the English translation of the podcast, like here  http://radioambulante.org/en/audio-en/translation/translation-nohemi ; For this reason, I think the podcasts are helpful at all levels. 

It is a part of NPR and is very well done.  It is various true stories from different parts of Latin America.  

Me encantan estos tres podcasts.  Creo que cada uno tiene un nivel diferente.  Mi favorito, sin duda, es Hoy Hablamos.
