Today's phrase - witty remark
Hi!
I try to learn new English phrases on and off.
And I've done over 1800 phrases so far.
One of the phrases I've learnt is <em>"witty remark"</em>
Here are examples I've written myself:
His witty remarks are not always kind.
His manner to make witty remarks and raise contradictory issues.
He is a master of witty remarks.
Does a native speaker say it like that?
Is it a casual speech?
PS. Originally I found this phrase on the BBC web site.
Thank you.
