Just it's one of my favorite songs so I wanna to know some more about it.
First, I want to ask about pronouncing one collocation viz. from "The floating boat is carrying me".
I hear clearly that she sing "CARRYING ME" like a "CARRY (a little pause) INGME". That's a just something especial author's pronunciation special for this song or something else?
And the second, maybe somebody know where I can find out a really good of this song's translation into Russian language because at all russian musical sites it's a full bullshit.
Or maybe can you explain me at least what means "sirens call, sirens calling away" actually for this song? What's the sirens: fire's, police's or maybe air alert's? :D

Hi Andrey - I know your question was posted years ago... but this might help you understand what they mean by 'siren'... it's referring to the sirens of Greek mythology.
Sirens were mythological creatures who would lure sailors to their deaths by singing irresistible songs from rocky outcrops. The sailors would be powerless not to sail onto the rocks following their call...

It is not quite clear the meaning of the sirens. But from the other words used I would say sirens of warning or sirens of factories/work places. It could be both at same time and different places within the song, it is creative licence and more like a poem.

But it refers to someone, perhaps a lover she is trying to forget, that in her dreams she could live without him/her but in real life she cannot live without them. It may be the love affair is heading for a fall or to finish!
It is a mix of things in the song it does not make much sense to me but must make sense to the song writer in their creativity!
