Moska and the Elephant
A nice story from the Russian writer Krylov. (trying to translate)
Once upon a time there was an elephant in the city, which was led along the streets. Because it was very strange to see an elephant there, a crowd of gapers walked along after/behind him. And suddenly a little dog name Moska springs out of nowhere and starts to attack the elephant! It bays and barks, jumping around the elephant and trying to bite him, and behaving crazily. A big dog approaches Moska and says, "What's happening, my friend? It doesn't see or hear you at all. You see, he's going his own way and doesn't care about you at all".
- "Nothing's happening," - Moska replies, - But now I'm considered a big fighter without even having to fight. You see, the other dogs are saying, "It seems that Moska is strongest fighting dog if he attacks an elephant".
P.S. And through all this, the cat Vaska just kept on eating.
