Traditional food is being replaced by international fast food.Negative effects on families, societies A widespread phenomenon in many regions is that international food has been taking the place of traditional food. Despite the fact eating fast food is convenient, I would argue that this trend takes its toll on both families and societies. International fast food afford people an alternative, which enables people to save time from cooking and to extricate themselves from complicated production processes used for traditional food. This benefit is particularly valuable for people with busy lifestyles. However, as international fast food has gradually developed into a staple diet in many cultures, it is high time to pay more attention to problems arising from this worrying trend. The popularity of international fast food may pose a serious threat to family relationships, as people do not participate in family dinners as frequently as before. In general, family dinners afford family members the chance to communicate with each other face to face and improve mutual understanding. If people frequented fast-food outlets rather than cooking and eating with families at home, interactions between families would decline and family bonds might weaken. In terms of the society, the proliferation of international fast food can, directly and indirectly, undermine the traditional culture. Traditional diets are characterised by the diversity of ingredients, flavours and cooking styles, reflecting the evolution of cuisine in different regions. In other words, traditional food is an integral part of the traditional culture, which shows the unique character of a region or country. As an increasing number of people choose to eat international fast food instead of traditional food, many traditional recipes will unavoidably vanish. In conclusion, while I accept that it is more convenient to eat fast food, this trend has a detrimental influence on both families and societies. Therefore, people should be encouraged to cook and eat more traditional diets.

I couldn't agree more. Along with eroding customs and traditions, fast food is also often unhealthy! Fantastic, basically fluent writing!
