IELTS Task 1 The bar graph compares the most popular sports between Australian boys and girls, showing the percentages of practitioners of each sport by gender. It’s possible to see that soccer is the most practised by boys, while netball is the most common between girls. Most of the sports show an expressive difference between the number of girls and boys practising it. Soccer, as example, is mainly played by boys, while practically only girls play netball. In other hand, some sports don’t show such a large gender difference. That’s the case of tennis, which has almost the same number of boys and girls playing it. Basketball shows equilibrium between boys and girls too, though the percentage of boys is slightly higher. The percentage of boys who practise another kind of sport is very expressive, achieving approximately 20 per cent. The amount of girls who play another sport keeps under 15 percent. Anyway, this is a very expressive number of children who plays other sports besides those showed in the graph.
