Quechua, native idiom from Perú Hi, today I want to talk about Quechua :). Quechua is one of the native languages from Perú indeed was the most important language during Inca age, Perú is a multilingual country, before Incas each town, each culture have its own idiom but Quechua was more popular because was useful for commerce in the territory, Quechua was the language from Chincha society (who were navigators) from the coast but was became in the official idiom for Incas to govern its emporium. It is the reason because there are eight kinds of Quechua, for example people from Cuzco to say water they say "Uno" (uno is one in spanish and also Uno is water in Aymara, which is the second native more important, it´s a cultural borrowing) the rest of people say Yacu to say water. Currently there is less and less speakers of Quechua here, one of the reason is racism, people who speak Quechua are discriminated, another reason is people think that if their son and daughter learn Quechua then might not have opportunity of get a good education. I try to learn Quechua too I feel proud, I am a bit jealous of Paraguay where people speak its native idiom Guarani an Spanish too.
