Advantages and disadvantages of mobile phones Using mobile phones has developed incredibly in the past several decades. Cell phones have now become an integral part of human and corporate life. One of the highly controversial issues nowadays relates to whether benefits and drawbacks of having mobile phone. On the one side of the argument there are people who argue that the advantages of using mobile phone considerably outweigh its disadvantages. The crustal reason for believing this is that people can always keep in touch with their colleagues and family members. Managers, for instance, have opportunity to coordinate their staff from any place they happen to be. Furthermore, modern smartphones provide internet connection in order to have access to unlimited information resources. A particularly good example here is learning English websites, such as bbclearningenglish.com, learnenglish.britishcouncil.org, etc. On the other hand, it is also possible to make the opposing case. It is often argued that in fact for employees, cell phones can make it difficult to leave work at the office. People often receive business calls on their mobile phones when they are out with friends or relaxing at home. A second point is that the high frequency of cell phone use can have negative effects on people's health. According to recent research, the constant ringing, vibrating alerts, and reminders can increase stress level of a mobile phone users. From my point of perspective, both arguments have their merits. On balance, however, I tend to believe that using of mobile phones is more beneficial for the overwhelming majority of people.
