The Landform of My Hometown

What should I write about Mount Tai?  History, famous person or some interesting stories?

If someone has been here, he may know about the mountain. Some may never have heard of it.  Famous cities such as Beijing or Shanghai are well known.  But people rarely pay attention to a small city.  Well, let's begin with the terrain of Mt. Tai.

Mt. Tai is the highest mountain in the North China Plain; its height is 1532.7m. It formed 2.5 billion years ago.  It has the oldest rock, and it was seen as a symbol of stability.  The chinese word "国泰民安“contains "泰安”,and the "稳如泰山“ from ”泰山“。What's the meaning of these last chinese characters? "国泰民安” means "the country is prosperous and the people are at peace" "稳如泰山“ means ”as steady as Mt. Tai." It's obvious how important the mountain and the city Tai'an are!

If you visit here, you should prepare enough for climbing the steep mountain.  How steep is it? The grade of the steepest road in Taishan eighteen is 70 to 80 degrees. It's a challenge for people.

There many springs in the mountain.  The water tasts cool, refreshing and sweet.

Small rivers flow over the rocks, and birds are chirping.

How do people describe Mt. Tai? It may be called majestic and vigorous.

[Very well done; you paint a nice picture of Mount Tai with your descriptions, which are very evocative.  Now I would like to see it myself!]
