"hello,to high and dry"? what does "hello,to high and dry" mean? I just heard it in Sara Bareilles' song <Love Song>. i know what "high and dry" means, but "hello,to.." doesn't get that sentence across me. Does it have any special usage?

Ok, so we agree that "high and dry" means you are left in a difficult situation, like a boat out of water. My first guess is that she is "greeting" the situation. I'm not sure if you've encountered this before, but one other example is "If I ever win the lotto, then it's hello to the good life!" My second (less-likely) guess is illustrating how quickly the situation went from friendly (hello) to unfriendly (high and dry).
