It is all right to say you were born and bred in Dalian. It is an example of alliteration. It is a little startling, in a way, because, animals are bred, not people. At least, we don't normally talk about breeding people. But people do use this expression frequently.

I WAS born and bred in Dalian.

The correct way to say that is, "I was born and raised in Dalian." "Bred" refers to when animals are bred together by breeders.

"Born and raised" is much, much better. For some reason, Americans say "I'm ____, born and raised/bred," too, so you could also say "I'm Dalian, born and raised."
