how do you congratulate someone who has recently got married Meanwhile how do you congratulate someone on their wedding ceremony which you have attended what do we say when we see only the bride or the groom

You can say to the couple: Congratulations! I wish you every happiness and hope that you will be very happy together.

Ha! Instead of saying congratulations to the bride, I say "best wishes". Saying congratulations to her implies she has successfully found a man, a feat about which there had been some doubt. On the other hand, "best wishes" offers my condolences for a future life of overcoming the obvious faults of the aforementioned male. I do offer congratulations to the groom, who has been lucky enough to find a marvelous girl.
