～日本人は英語を勉強すべきか～ ' Whether Japanese should learn English or not' 日本人は英語を勉強すべきだ。 なぜなら、最近では多くの国が英語を話せるよになるための教育をしているからだ。 Japanese should learn English because now a days many countries are educating their people to be able to speak English. 私は、英語ではなせばどの国でもたいてい伝わるのではないかと思う。 I believe in most countries you can communicate with people in English. 私の叔母は私に英語ならいろんな国でも使えるよと言っていた。 My aunt always said to me that you can use English in many countries. 実際、英語が言語でないとこでも会話ができたそうだ。 In fact, she was able to communicate with people in non-English speaking countries. 日本人は英語が苦手な人が多く、外人に話かけられても答えられない人も多い。 Many Japanese have poor English skills and many of them can't answer when they are asked simple questions in English. それをなくすためにも日本人が英語を勉強するのは大切だと思う。 I think it is important for Japanese to learn English, so they can do more than just answering simple questions. 今では、幼稚園などでも英語を教えているらしい。 I heard that now a days kids are learning English in preschools. そのうち日本も英語が言語になるかもしれない。 English might be the main language in Japan in the future. そうなっても大丈夫なように、今のうちから英語力を身につける必要があると思う。 I think it is necessary for us to improve our English skills in case that happens.
