what's the meaning of "if you meet them more than half way."? I can do it if I try. The world will reward your efforts. Other people will help you if you meet them more than half way.

To meet half way = to compromise equally between two parties/people To (be willing to) meet more than half way = To (be willing to) be more than fare = to (be willing to) do more than half of the compromise

If you meet someone half-way, that means you are willing to compromise and do your part. You are not expecting another person to give in to your wishes and letting you have your way all the time. If you will meet them half way, that is fair, and you are willing to give a little and not always make the other person to do all the giving. This is what compromise is all about.

Hi, It means to make a compromise. You really want to reach an agreement but both you and the other person needs to compromise.

It means do a little bit more than compromise. Say I took a woman out for a meal, and at the end of the meal I went to pay, she said, "Wait! Let me pay! You paid last time". Being a gentleman I may say, "No, I insist that I pay". She may reply, "Ok, but meet me half way, let me buy the drinks". Well, ok, thank you. THEN she pays for the taxi on the way home, she met me more than half way because if you see how much I spent on our night out, and how much she spent on the night out, she paid more than me. :)
