Normally in the U.S. gambling casinos are illegal. However, on native American Indian lands, it has been ruled that those laws don't apply. Now many Indian reservations and lands have casinos where people can gamble, where they wouldn't be able to otherwise. I sincerely doubt that any American Indians today paint their faces or wear feathers on their heads, except in traditional tribal ceremonies. I've know a few American Indians and I've never seen a painted face yet.
