好像差不遠! 我覺得"Public office" 更精準。這是直接翻譯的。公務員 - civil servant也好,我比較喜歡'public official'、"government official“。 as always, 要看怎麼用才可以選擇一個很地道和適合的說法。

It is incorrect. He is qualified civil SERVANT. civil service = government work A civil servant is someone who works in the civil service.
