Does 'scrambled out of bed' mean 'flew out of bed' in this sentence? "Ann threw back the covers and scrambled out of bed."

to scramble means to go very quickly so yes, another way to express it can be flew out of bed.

It means almost the same thing a flying out of bed, only scrambled implies it was done in a disorganized and clumsy manner.
