"dipanggil" = "be called" (passive form) "panggil" (it is the origin word of memanggil dan dipanggil) = "call" (active form) but it's more common to use "memanggil" e.g. Pak Asdi memanggil saya = Mr. Asdi called me.

Annnyeong, "Saya dipanggil Pak Asdi, tetapi saya tidak tahu jalannya". I'm afraid that I can't give an appropriate answer since you didn't mention the situation (the context where thus conversation happened). Because the meaning of language can't be apart from the context, especially in conversation. Besides, many words expression in Indonesia have no translation in English. Where did you find thus conversation? Both Nindi's and Kiky's explanation were pretty good enough. Panggil (base form) dipanggil, it consist of affix in beginning (imbuhan di-) that mean passive verb. Anyway, I guess that the conversation was a part of subtitle in a Indonesia movie? Correct me if me wrong. (cmimw). Gumawo.

Yes, u're right, dipanggil means called and it's passive form (the original word is panggil). But if I match your first and second sentence dipanggil can also be invited. because Pak Asdi wants you (asks you) to meet him, but you don't know how to get there.

usually "dipanggil" = to be+called, but it depends on the sentence the way I see your sentence "tapi saya tidak tahu jalannya", does it means you're invited by pak asdi to go somewhere? if it does, then in this context i think that dipanggil = invited, not called.
