"Wit" is usually used to mean clever and quick-thinking. Often it also suggests being clever with words - thinking of a good reply or a funny comment, very quickly. It can also be used to mean just "funny". "Wisdom" also means clever, but it is a slow, patient understanding. A young person might be "quick-witted" but we usually think of old people as being "wise". I hope that helps a little!
