Ryan
How to spell my name in Korean Hangul Hi! My name is Ryan. After learning Hangul, I wanted to write my name so I came up with this: 리안 Ree Ahn (rhymes with neon) It didn't translate exactly since there is no "I" sound in Korean. Normally, my name is rI ahn (rhymes with lion) What I don't know if I got right is the ah sound. Would it be more correct to spell it as 리언 and how would this change the pronunciation? The pronunciation of 어 is the most difficult for me.

If you're willing to step away from the two-syllable rule that most Korean names follow, your name would probably be spelled like this: 라이언. The 아 and the 이 back to back make the hard I sound that's in your name. :)

HI! I'm also learning korean :) I think I could help you with this. It'll be spelled 라이안 if you want it to be pronounced as 'rI-AN' But it is most appropriate to be spelled as 라이언, which rhymes with lion. HOPE THIS HELPED^^
