Hello, I've just started to learn Vietnamese ̣(3 days ago), so I'm quite a beginner in the matter!

How can I say: "You are my friend"

Context: My friend is a woman and she is younger than me.

Is "Em bạn anh" (you friend me) correct? Would it be better if I added "của"

-- "Em bạn của anh" (You friend of me)

I'm wondering... should I use the verb "to be" là?

-- "Em là bạn của anh". (you are friend of me)

Me, "you are my friend" just means "em là bạn anh" or "chúng ta là bạn". When I say "this is my friend" in Vietnamese, I'll say "đây là bạn tớ/em/anh", "she is my friend" is "Cô ấy là bạn tớ", I seldom use "cô ấy là bạn của tớ"
