Correspond to vs correspond with: Correspond to is used when things are similar, match, or agree almost exactly Example: Your schedule corresponds to mine. (This means we have a similar schedule. Maybe we have taken similar classes at school or even start and end at the same time) Correspond with = communication by exchanging letters, email or text messages Example: I have corresponded with Jane through email for six months.

Jane: Based on your comments below and the example sentence you used, you already know the dictionary definition of correspond. Your real question is about the preposition which sometimes follows the word correspond. You are asking when should you use with versus to: Some Chinese words with similiar meanings to the English word "with": 給,陪,用,一共, 與,和 。。。 His actions do not correspond with his words in Chinese would be::他的行為與他說的話不對應 or 他說的話對他的行為不壹樣 so 與 OR 和 or 對 is similiar to with in this sentence. Some Chinese words with similiar meaning to the English word "to": 對,往, 到, 上
