I don't understand exactly what "mind my own P's and Q's" means in the context. Then one Saturday morning, I saw Phill and William coming out of the woods with their father, and they were carrying a lovely young deer. This made me so cross that I started shouting at them. The boys laughted and made faces at me, and Mr Gregg told me to go home and mind my own P's and Q's. Well, that did it! I saw red. And before I was able to stop myself, I did something I never meant to do. I PUT THE MAGIC FINGER ON THEM ALL! ---- I don't understand exactly what "mind my own P's and Q's" means in the context. What does that mean? It means Watch your mouth? Please help me! Thanks!

What "Mind your P's and Q's" essentially means is "Mind your manners". It's an old slang term. In the context that you presented it in, the writer started yelling at Phil and William. So he was told to mind his manners, and not yell at people.
