help me with exercises please I've been doing some exercises on the internet and now I'm stuck on those three. My suggestions were 1. won't accomplish, 2. are taught 3. I have no idea 1.By this time next summer, you will have completed your studies and will have found a job. I, on the other hand _______ (accomplish) anything. I will still be studying and you will be working in some new high paying job. 2.students are usually taught by Mrs. Monty. However, this week they (teach) _______ by Mr. Tanzer. 3. I'm going to make dinner for Frank. I'm making dinner for Judy. I'll make dinner for Mary. I make dinner for Ted. I will be making dinner for Tony. Who are you offering to make dinner for?

Hello mjehur! Very close - keep up the good work! 1) won't have accomplished 2) will be taught 3) Mary This one is a bit trickier - I've no idea how to explain this grammatically (I'm no English teacher) but it's definitely the correct answer - all the others suggest that it's a foregone conclusion that you'll be making/already make dinner for the others.

How interesting! Personally (on a day to day basis) I'm not sure I would see a huge difference in meaning between "they will be taught" and "they are being taught" - another interesting way in which foreign language speakers often learn to speak the language better than the natives ;-) You learn something every day! Hi mjehur, I'll explain the grammar behind Arthur's answers... :) The answer for 2) is actually "they are being taught". Remember: present continuous plus future time to mean a fixed arrangement. "Will be taught" is understandable, but it means the future event is still in theory; nothing definite or agreed upon. For 3), I agree that "will" is correct. In this case, we can use "will" for offers and promises (note: the future event is still just an idea - this can very easily change!). Hope that helps.
