shall i use informal or formal writing style in my toefl test After I learned about how to write a good essay in toefl test,I got really puzzled.Toefl writing is about critic thinking,kind of debating ,like"should we tell the truth anytime,use specific details to express your opinion",etc.It seems like a very formal essay.But some of the sample essays are not so formal.They frequently use ?and ! in that (my teacher told me that these expressions should never be used in a formal writing).And the last paragraphs are somewhat joking,like if you want to buy a car,that's ok,but just mind your pocket,that kind of thing.So,could you please tell me which style I should chose?and I really appreciate your help.
