How do you say "I need help" in Polish? I would like to also know how to ask "Do you know about the SKYWARN training session on March 23rd at 6:00 PM?" I want to also ask if I could ask "How's the weather" in Polish? "How is your mother?" How do I ask Pani Kaczorowska a question. In America, she goes by the name Kaczorowski, but she would be Kaczorowska in actual Polish. "I need your help, please." "I want to buy a bottle of pop." "I want to see Samantha Brown again" "I want to stop being friends with Daria Larsen." "I need help "I want to drink Mexican Coca Cola with real sugar again." "I miss my parents" How do you say all this stuff in Polish?

In addition to Marcin's answer. How's the weather? Jaka jest pogoda? - It sounds very official to me. We here often shorten in conversations with friends or family, so you may ask also: Jak pogoda? Jak tam pogoda (How's the weather there - if you want to ask someone who is far away from you)? How is your mother? Jak się ma/czuje twoja/pana/pani matka/mama? - again in friendly conversation you may ask: Jak tam twoja matka? ('tam' means 'there' and it sounds badly in English, however we use it in very general questions when we are curious where she actually is, what she is doing now, how she feels etc) All female names and most of surnames end with "-a" - Małgorzata Czerwińska, Elżbieta Sośnicka, Maryla Rodowicz I want to buy a bottle of pop. Chcę kupić butelkę napoju. - it's OK if you want to tell someone what you want to buy, but if you want to ask a vendor you should use these - Chciałbym kupić butelkę napoju or Poproszę butelkę napoju or even shorten to simply Poproszę napój (pomarańczowy, z aronii, jabłkowy). I want to see Samantha Brown again Chcę znów zobaczyć Samanthę Brown - it sounds odd, like he wants to see a superstar in TV again. I think you want to meet her again, right? If so, you should say - Chcę się znowu spotkać z Samnthą Brown or Chciałbym się znowu spotkać z XYZ

Hi Justin, Oh there are so many questions, so it might be difficult (I expect you to have even more questions regarding my answers) but I'll try to answer them. Do you know about the SKYWARN training session on March 23rd at 6:00 PM? Czy wiesz o szkoleniu SKYWARN dwudziestego trzeciego marca o szóstej po południu? (or: o szóstej wieczorem) If you are not on the 2nd person basis ('ty') with someone, you have to start with: Czy pan/pani wie... How's the weather? Jaka jest pogoda? How is your mother? Jak się ma/czuje twoja/pana/pani matka/mama? which is a question on how she feels or whether she is fortunate... 'Jaka jest ...?' would mean "what is your mother like?" Kaczorowski/Kaczorowska Indeed, some family names in Polish (including Kaczorowski) take endings denoting the gender, so always Mr. Kaczorowski, but Miss/Mrs Kaczorowska, unless the lady has lived for half a century in US and become Kaczorowski officially. I need your help, please. Potrzebuję twojej/pana/pani pomocy, proszę. But this 'proszę' at the end sounds a bit odd for me. I want to buy a bottle of pop. Chcę kupić butelkę napoju. I want to see Samantha Brown again Chcę znów zobaczyć Samanthę Brown. I want to stop being friends with Daria Larsen. Chcę przestać przyjaźnić się z Darią Larsen. But it sounds slightly awkward, I would say: "Nie chcę dłużej przyjaźnić się z ..." , which is literally: I don't want to be friends with Daria anymore, which sounds awkward in English probably. I want to drink Mexican Coca Cola with real sugar again. Chcę znów (wy)pić meksykańską colę z prawdziwym cukrem. I miss my parents Tęsknię za moimi rodzicami. I hope this helps Cheers, Marcin
