accents Hi, I am trying to figure out how to get accents over my letters using a computer keyboard. Could someone explain how I would do that?

I am not sure if you are using a Windows PC or a Mac. On a PC you have a couple of options. I recommend going to Computer Panel -> Region and Language -> Keyboards and Languages tab - > Click on "Change Keyboards". This will bring up the "Text Services and Input Languages" form. You can add another language, say French, to the list of available keyboard options there. This will put a "Language Bar" onto your taskbar which you can use to switch your keyboard from English to French or whatever language you want. How the keyboard works in your target language is up to you to research. I use this for switching to Spanish and I do okay. You do have to remember that you may be in a different language mode when you are filling out passwords and such. I have gotten myself into trouble that way a few times. Changing the language causes the non-letter keys to type a different value.

Here is a link to accent codes, but you need a keyboard that has the number keypad. You can't use the numbers above the letters; it won't work. http://symbolcodes.tlt.psu.edu/bylanguage/french.html#winalt
