Beides bezeichnet das weibliche Tier, aber ein Huhn kann auch der weibliche Vogel sein, der noch jung ist und noch keine Eier legt. Ein weiblicher Vogel, der ausgewachsen und fähig ist, Eier zu legen, wird üblicherweise als "Henne" bezeichnet.
