Away vs apart What's the difference between away and apart? And can I say: he was sitting apart from the others?

Hi, Away means to be a distance from something; apart means to be separate from something. So "he was sitting apart from the others" makes sense as in he was sitting a distance away from the others. Hope this helps, Paul

Hi, Paul. The words kinda have the same meaning. But "apart" can be more physical than "away". And your phrase makes sense.
